Special Facilities
EXPO Arena
Located east of Wish Fountain, this is a performance space inside a tent, where only little power supply is needed, therefore saving energy and reducing carbon emissions. The spacious tent has high ceilings and no beams, giving more variety to the use of space. The area is 70 m long, 30 m wide and 16 m tall. Audience capacity ranges from 1200-1500, and the area is equipped with performance facilities. The façade will be painted to echo the theme of the Flora Expo.
Eco Theater
Ecological theater is a U-shaped open theater facing the Keelung river. The Wish Fountain is the stage center with audience seating reaching 200 m outward. Arbor, shrubs, and green slope landscaping were built to create an artsy and ecological environment, so the surrounding architecture blends into the riverside park.
People can enjoy scheduled performances on holidays. On other days, the area provides visitors a place for recreation, sightseeing, and parent-child activities. Therefore, the ecological theater is a "public" and "artistic" outdoor space that emphasizes "environment protection", "ecology", and "sustainability".
The theater combines modern art and the concept of green buildings, which is expected to bring harmony to Flora Expo’s ‘water area’. Using ‘flowers’ as the main element and ‘water’ as a platform, such visual impact can be perceived in the space along the riverbank, which eventually comes to an end and focusing on the main stage at the Wish Fountain.
Blue Highway
The Blue Highway connects the Flora Expo and shopping areas like the Raohe Street and Miramar. It also takes you along the Keelung river and close to the water.
Dajia Riverside Parade
The large festooned vehicle creats a buzz and the attention from the media. This can help promote the exposition, attracting more visitors to the Dajia Area.
Pier 1 Dajia
Dajia Wharf is situated at the Dajia Riverside Park Area, and is the important marina that connects the Blue Highway.
G5 (Dajia)
The main entrance is decorated by a light structure made of thin film. The same modernized decoration is also used as shades to keep out sunlight and rain. The dimension of the thin film flower at the entrance is 40m x 40m. It can be assembled and dissembled easily. It also has a self-cleaning function. The path leading towards the entrance is decorated by 350 m of flowers and shades, manifesting the theme of the exposition.
