High-end 3D Technology Theatre "Taiwan's Inconvenient Truth" -- EXPO Theater
Caring for our environment is one of the mission statements of 2010 Taipei International Flora Expo. Due to the purpose of the expo, the Science World located in Yuanshan Park Area's Children Recreation Center have been remodel into a 3D theater which is now known as the Expo Theater, visitors would be able to recognize the threat that out environment is currently facing and understand the solutions that would need to be undertake in order to save our precious environment.
EXPO Theater's main screening video "Taiwan's Inconvenient Truth" is a 3D movie created by many talented professionals, indicating the threats that some of Taiwan's habitats are facing now. It is hope that through the deliverable of this movie that visitors would understand the seriousness and urgent of the situation.
The Science World at Children's Recreation Center to incorporate the theme of Flora Expo
3 pavilions situated in Yuanshan park are remodels from the previous structures and the EXPO Theatre is one of them. Remodelling form the Taipei Children's Recreation Centre's the world of tomorrow, the entire interior structures, materials, exterior to water proofing system have all been remade and redesign to complete what we see today the 3D Theater – EXPO Theater.

The 3D production of a collaboration by Hollywood blockbuster film producer and Taiwan's own design team focus on the issue of environmental protection
"Environmental and the Ecological Concern" is one of the main themes of the 2010 Taipei International Flora Expo. A special 3D animation film "Taiwan's Inconvenient Truth" has been specially designed and put together by an extravagant behind the scene team, which will be screened at the EXPO Theater. During Typhoon Morakot and the disaster of landslides and floods many home were destroy and love ones being separated, hundreds of victims fight through this crisis with their last breath and hope refusing to give up. Through the satellite images provided by Centre of Space and Remote Sensing Research Centre reveals the truth and reality after the damage of Typhoon Morakot, a wound deeply scared into the surface of Taiwain.
Through the use of IMAX 3D technology the horror caused by typhoon, landslide, and some other natural disaster were once again vividly bought back to live once again, indicating many endangered ecosystem in Taiwan's natural environment. Two special guests of honor – Richard Kidd, Hollywood Visual effects supervisor of "Transformer" and "Spiderman 3" and Visual effects supervisor of many Hollywood spectacular including "Titanic" and "The day after tomorrow" Karen Goulekas were invited to work with the production crew in order to create a different aspect of nature -- cruelty, a experience that will astonished the audience with a unforgettable experience. Through the exhilarating storyline of the animation, it is hoped that all audiences will discover the true colour of mother earth and the consequence of not taking care of our environment, thus implementing the significance of environmental protection into the mind and hearts of the publics, striving to preserve and cherish our one and only belonging, planet earth.
